The Adventure is about to begin!
Posted: Jul 1, 2006 14:56 PDT

I arrived home from work Wednesday and found my wife Vivien (KL7YL) zipping her suitcase closed. No, she isn't leaving me, but she is so excited about WRTC, she said she couldn't wait to pack and have everything ready.

We had tickets on Varig from JFK to Sao Paulo, but not any more. Varig "arranged" our tickets to be transfered to American Airlines on a slightly later flight. We've called American, and yes, we have seats.....we think. We have some juggling to do at JFK with some Varig to American paperwork, but we should have plenty of time. This, hopefully, will be all of the "excitement" we'll see on our trip to Florianopolis.

We're looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and meeting new ones!

73!

Good luck Glen on the whole trip. I will try and be on the bands this weekend to lend support to the whole effort. Hope my 100 watts is heard.
Good luck.

Hey Glenn

I will be looking for you guy on all the bands and both modes. We might even have a shot on 10m as there's usually a lot of LU's heard on this N/S path.
