Getting ready Posted: Jun 28, 2006 04:50 PDT
The trip to WRTC in Florianopolis is beginning to be "real." It always seemed so far away, and now, with just a fews days before departure, it is time to get serious. Radio equipment has been collected, tested, and piled up. Next will be finding a way to get it and the clothes in a manageable amount of bags.
I will be traveling to WRTC with my 16-year old son Andrew. Always good to take a strong young man along to act as porter on these difficult trips!
Looking forward to sharing our WRTC experience through this blog. Please provide feedback!

Ted, KT1V Posted Jun 30, 2006 04:42 It's great you can travel with your son!
I can just imagine travelling there with my 2,3, and 6 year olds having taken a plane flight of that length recently - no thanks!
Good Luck and KB
Jamie WW3S Posted Jun 29, 2006 17:29 Good luck Randy; enjoy the time with your son. My two are 22 and 19 now, time flew by waaaay too fast....73,
