Getting Ready to go to Airport Posted: Jul 4, 2006 08:41 PDT
We're waiting for a friend from church to take us to the airport.
All our bags are jam-packed to the limit with stuff. Indeed, any overflow must go into Rayma's backpack. It would be nice to have rollers on my computer bag, because it's gotten a little hefty! Maybe next time.
We should make quite a funny picture moving about the airport with the large box for the radio, plus three roll-on suitcases (one of which is used as wheels for the radio box). Anyone remember the opening shot of the "Beverly Hillbillies" TV show from the 1960s? At least we don't have Grandma perched in a rocking chair on top of our luggage.
Mark, AG9A, called from Chicago. He's going to his local RadioShack to pick up some more connectors. It will be really great to meet up with Mark in Sao Paolo after all this frenetic packing, planning and traveling.
We're really psyched up for this great adventure! See you all in Florianopolis.
