TUESDAY Afternoon
Posted: Jul 4, 2006 13:53 PDT

Hello Again

The sun is setting now here in FLN and it has been a picture perfect day. We got onto 15M and later 10M at PP5WRTC this afternoon and surprised to see 15M open to Europe and later 10M into the USA.

40M is runnable before sunset into Europe from here. No surprise there....

Several of us tried a dip in the ocean awhile ago and it was quite cool - but nothing worse than the Gulf of Maine in late July - probably mid 60´s water temperature I think.

Quite a few more arrivals this afternoon - I suppose we shall meet them come dinnertime later on.

CU on the air and keep a lookout for PP5WRTC on the bands. Most everyone will want to give K1LZ´s new FT9000 a whirl later this week - what a complicated looking radio....!!! More dials than Carter has pills!
