7 days befor departure
Posted: Jun 28, 2006 07:06 PDT

The usual and the unusual travel preparations continue:
-- Still awaiting my passport and visa from the Brazil consulate here in Boston.
-- Replaced my Varig flights, thanks to my Most Excellent Travel Agent. Having booked with United, the Varig flight segments were code-share, and United replaced them with United-aircraft segments.
-- Thinking about abnormal stuff to pack. I'm not a competitor this time, so don't have to lug radios and other such equipment. But, as a referee, I need my laptop, headphones, audio splitters, etc.

Given my procrastinating nature, I won't actual start putting stuff into a suitcase until the day of departure (July 4).

And I've been reading the NCJ issue which arrived Monday in order to familiarize myself with the competitors.

Now I'm off to the W1KM contesting site to help get it ready for Greg to use as SO2R during the IARU contest.

73,
-- Eric
