FRIDAY Morning
Posted: Jul 7, 2006 04:59 PDT

Hi Gang

My last prior to the contest. In about an hour we will select our site location for the competition and K1KI and are I pysched!

Yesterday we had our competitor and referee meetings followed by a joint competitor/referee meeting.

Now it is up to all of us to do our best and hope for a good location.

A couple of issues yesterday surfaced during the meetings as regards what could and could NOT be done to the 80M antenna - which is a W3DZZ type design. We may tune it to resonance in the CW or SSB band - but not alter it into a conventional 80M dipole. Very specific with regards to this antenna - but eminently fair to all concerned as some sites would not fit a full sized antenna.

Otherwise, everyone is enjoying this beautiful place - the sunrise out of the water this morning at 7:03AM was spectacular.

Please get on and work the WRTC stations and may the best team win!
