Final hours in Florianopolis

 Emily and I were operating under the callsign PW5J. Thanks to all of you who worked us.
In a few hours I leave for the airport for the long flight back to Manchester, NH. Although we placed 44 out of 46 we had a great time. I guess we just had the bad luck of the draw with our operating location. It was an axperience I'll always remember. It's not every day one gets the opportunity to participate in a worlwide competition. I hope to get the opportunity for a second chance. Possibly in the next WRTC in Russia in 2009.
Thanks to Oms, PY5EG and all his support team for an outstanding event. I also wish to give a special thanks to ICOM for supporting our team and supplying us with an ICOM PRO III. A special thanks to my husband, Russell, K1TSV for his support.
